Some of my best memories of college were on road trips.  Nothing said freedom more than hopping into a car with a group of friends and leaving the campus behind to embark on grander adventures.

No matter the work load at school, I found just breaking away offered the refreshment I needed to get through the semester. 

Even so, my first Altitude redefined my expectations of road trips.  Altitude is the pinnacle of college road trips! Altitude offers the opportunity to get away and solidify friendships, build life-defining memories, and escape from the college routine.  But it is so much more; it's a retreat designed to facilitate an encounter with God and that can change your life forever. 

I remember becoming so full of the vision God had for my life and my campus Chi Alpha group that I returned to the university with an entirely different perspective and mission.  What started as a mundane, "get-through-your-classes" semester totally transformed that weekend into a God-infused lifestyle in which He was given free-reign to work through my life.   What God was able to do in my life during that brief weekend away was worth 1,000 road trips.

It was an appointment God had on His calendar to meet with me in a powerful way and looking back I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
